Rich Thinking: 7 Advices from the Very Rich and Successful Themselves

How to be rich and Successful - Lyn Durante

I can remember my brother saying “If only all people are given at least $1Million each, then everyone lives fairly and happy…no crime, no rich, no poor.” I admired his words then. But now I understand, why it is not the case. Continue reading

Our Visit to Melbas Chocolate Factory in Woodside South Australia

Melba’s Chocolate Factory is a ‘working’ tourism factory located in a heritage listed complex at 22 Henry St, Woodside in the Adelaide Hills. ‘Melba’s’ got its name from the restaurant that the owners of the choc factory used to own.

It is a heritage site because this place used to be Woodside Farmers Union’s factory which had closed in 1977. For 58 years since 1919, this site was famous worldwide for the cheese, butter, margarine and small goods produced by the South Australian farmers. However, this activity ceased in 1976. Yet, after fourteen years of abandon and neglect, Melba’s took over the former cheese factory building in 1st of July 1990.

It will only make you feel depressed. What I advise you to say to yourself is – This Too Shall Pass. Continue reading

Who Says?

As a mother to two adorable daughters, I am humbled each day by their presence. I mean, they used to be just that miracle of life which blossomed from a minute uncertainty to vivid reality. Such that, as they grow up before my eyes, I wish I can protect them and shelter them in all ways I can. However, when they start to set out themselves into the real harsh world, it is a fact that it will be their own battle. 23 Best Things About Being a Kid, says the Kids

Don't Grow Up. It's a Trap.

Yes! Don’t Grow Up! It’s a Trap! We saw these prints on a shirt for kids. Danger was at the back.

I admit! Adulting is kinda hard. And I just wish sometimes that I am back to being a kid. Don’t you? I mean, I reckon that when one becomes a grown up, naturally, we want to become more responsible. As well as more in control and careful with our actions. What is more challenging is – when you’re a grown up, you have bills to pay!

So, to remind us once again on how great is it to be kids, here are statements from the kids themselves:  Continue reading

Who Controls the Dice?

I can’t believe how the Snakes and Ladders game can be a great source of enlightenment!

My two daughters were playing Snakes and Ladders. Just when Miss 3 year-old was almost catching up with her elder sister, she landed on number 14. A number that depicts a big snake waiting to devour her and made her slide back to space number 4. Yup! 10 steps backward. That’s why she got so upset.

Then, they had this exchange – Continue reading
